  Initially I was very happy with the results of our newly painted roof but was not aware a faulty product was used. We only found out about the issue 5.5 years later when we needed a quote for roof repairs after the earthquakes. Mainland Roof Coatings was invited to give a quote and during their visit a comment was made about the poor paint job. He was informed on the spot they painted it. He said he would look into it but we never heard back. It took many calls and follow ups to get someone out. After our roof was inspected we were told that they had used a faulty product and that because it is a pro-rated warranty we would need to pay a certain amount to have it repainted. We were supposed to hear back from them in regards to doing a deal but never heard from them. I really feel ripped off. Why were the customers who received the faulty product not notified. Or at the very least when we were getting our roof moss sprayed each year by them, why did they not tell us there was a problem when you could visually see it.
